11PzG taking part in Forgotten Honor Campaign Great news for the lovers of organised gameplay!
11PzG is currently going to support the 1st Engineering Battallion, on the Allied side in the latest Forgotten Honor Tournament. I recommend you sign up for this, as it's a good way of getting ready for serious matches which are likely to come soon.
Here is more information about the campaign:
Forgotten Honor Tournament presents the first campaign playing Forgotten Hope 2.2: Normandy 1944.In previous campaigns we have fought in the deserts of northern Africa, in the hills of Greece and in the towns of Italy. In this campaign we will move to France and fight on the beaches and the lush green countryside of Normandy. From frantic fighting on the beaches and ambushes among hedgerows to large scale engagements between tanks and airplanes.
Throw yourself in the mud for cover, fight through hedgerow after hedgerow, brace for shellshock as the ground around you is pounded by artillery fire and have faith in your company mates when you assault your objective. Every week your team's skills and planning will be tested against an equally determined foe.
When you join this campaign, Forgotten Honor: Normandy 1944, you will experience:
- Forgotten Hope 2 at its best in Normandy
- 128 players fighting for victory in battles raging over 2 servers at the same time
- Great new unseen maps not released to the public
- Coordinated teamplay between infantry, armour and air force
- An improved and more realistic way of spawning on the battlefield
- Promotions and rewards for your achievements
- New friendships with likeminded people from all over the world
- It is free, and everybody is welcome

FH Normandy is released! Well, Normandy has been released...and I have missed it. That's what you get for taking a holiday.
Anyway, to compensate we will keep you regularily update about the state of FH2...so, let's start at the important stuff. The hamstersite fast mirror is currently being worked on, and should be up quite soon.
Also 11th Panzergrenadiers will be marching into scrims pretty soon!
You need to also install BF2 1.5. That patch is also being uploaded onto the webpage. Note, that 1.5 has to be installed on top of 1.41. There is a hotfix for this patch, which fixes the alt-tab issues ALT-TAB HOTFIXmatyastonSaturday 12 September 2009 - 15:25:57 Read/Post Comment: 0
New FH forums and website are up!!!
Lightning wrote ... Hello and welcome back, After a few sleepless nights, we are now finally done moving all our content from FileFront to our new host warumdarum.de. Before we say anything else though, we would like to give a warm 'Thank you' to our long time supporter and owner of our new host Flüstertüte and AndyGr42, without whom such a speedy transition would not have been possible. They have been a great help, not only with our website and developer forum, but also with our brand new public forum. We would also like to thank FileFront, for the past 5 years our reliable host. It is a real shame such a great community has so suddenly disappeared, but some of the old forum staff is already working on a new forum. We will of course keep you up to date on these events as we learn more. Last but not least, we also want to thank all those in the Forgotten Hope community who have offered to host our website and forums. We have received dozens of offers and we really appreciate that so many people would want help us out so quickly. You can now find our website at: WebsiteYou can find our new forum here: ForumsWe hope you will enjoy our new forum and, as usual, feel free to join our IRC channel to discuss this announcement. matyastonSunday 29 March 2009 - 20:02:05 Read/Post Comment: 0
New VOIP software worth a look! Mumble is a software which could very well replace our current Teamspeak.
It is essentially Teamspeak with a lot better quality. Built in Teamspeak Overlay...AND!!!!
POSITIONAL RECOGNITION!!!Meaning if you want to, you can make other's voices fade away ingame, as they go further away from you. This is a hilarious feature, seeing as the enemy can also hear you...Excellent feature, and definately worth a try. Ofcourse if you want to talk to all, you may still do so.

Forgotten Hamsters is back online! We have restarted the Forgotten Hamster service, after we lost our domain to the eNOM corporation. This is the same company who bought our old clan address. They buy up expired domains, and sell them at ridiculously high prices. I have now bought the www.forgottenhamster.com domain, where the new hamstersite has been added.
We will update it a bit more often, and hopefully will create a more successful site than the previous one.

Normandy coming.... As you guys probably know already, Normandy is currently in the works with the FH2 team. And when it is released, the hamsters will spring into action, and deliver the usual amounts of fights.
I will be updating the site more regularily from now on, as well as adding new content.matyastonFriday 06 February 2009 - 11:11:33 Read/Post Comment: 0
11th Panzergrenadier Website back up! Wohooo!
After our webhost dissapeared, we havn't had a site for some time now. The old domain is directing to the wrong site, so we had to get a new domain, and a new FTP server.
Anyway, WE ARE BACK!matyastonWednesday 08 October 2008 - 21:02:06 Read/Post Comment: 0
Matches against 130th Panzer Our first game against the 130th this month was on Market Garden. It was quite a fun game, and we really enjoyed ourselves, mind you, we did have a lot of things to shoot at :)
This game was played in 45min rounds, on a US server, with a team ratio of around 3:1..against us. Great game though! You cannot imagine the intense battles we had, whilst playing that. INSANE! Shooting everywhere! Mind you, Market might not have been the best map for this, because the rivers do sort of act as a bottleneck. I recommend everyone at least once tries this, if they have the opportunity. ;)

And then we had a proper game, which was played on 130th and Illuminator servers. Also a nice game.matyastonSaturday 25 August 2007 - 23:32:52 Read/Post Comment: 0
